Moral primacy, actions and omissions.

People tend to judge that harm caused though action is morally worse than equivalent harm caused through inaction. However, recent research indicates that the distinction between actions and omissions may not be as clear cut as it may seem, and that moral considerations may feed back into our judgments of whether something counts as an action or omission. I am exploring whether this 'moral feedback' truly occurs, and what psychological mechanisms are at work in this phenomenon.
