Cognitive neuropsychological rehabilitation and developmental disorders: A success story.

This research consists of a series of single case studies across a range of developmental neuropsychological disorders including dyslexia, dysgraphia, prosopagnosia and topographical disorientation. For many of these disorders there are no existing treatments with proven efficacy for children and the aim of the current research is to design, implement and evaluate specific treatment programs within a cognitive neuropsychological framework. The treatment studies are carefully designed to enable an objective assessment of treatment efficacy, the stability of treatment effects over time and the generalisability of treatment effects to related skills. Results are also used to investigate and explore current theoretical frameworks and proposals.
