Social influences on autobiographical memory.

The broad aim of my research is to examine how group processes and the outcomes for remembering in a group may be different from remembering alone. Drawing on theories in a range of disciplines including philosophy (extended mind and distributed cognition) and psychology (Conway's Self-Memory System model), I aim to extend current experimental paradigms of group remembering to examine how groups remember personal, emotional and autobiographical events, and to extend experimental paradigms of individual remembering to group remembering.
