I also have a profile at the ARC Centre for Excellence in Cognition and its Disorders.

Profile

My research interest is in how the nervous system controls movement. I have a particular interest in motor control of the jaw and mouth. In my research I use electromyography (EMG), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), electroencephalography (EEG) and Magnetoencephalography (MEG). I am currently investigating sensorimotor integration in stuttering.

I received my PhD from the Discipline of Physiology, University of Adelaide under the supervision of Prof. Kemal S Turker, looking at the role of afferent feedback from the teeth in human orofacial motor control. Since then I have undertaken research postings at the Neuromuscular Laboratory, University of Adelaide, the Center for Sensory Motor Interaction, Aalborg University and the Center for Brain Research, Ege University.
